Share the drive at no extra cost!At Marin Car Rental, you can add one Additional Driver to your rental FREE OF CHARGE, giving you more flexibility and convenience throughout your trip.The Additional Driver must meet Marin Car Rental's driver qualification requirements, present a valid driver's license, and be officially added to the Rental Agreement before driving the Vehicle.The Primary Driver must be present at both vehicle pick-up and return and remains responsible for the rental throughout the Rental Period.Only drivers listed on the Rental Agreement are authorized to operate the Vehicle. Additional drivers beyond the first complimentary driver may be subject to an additional fee.

Age Requirements & Young Drivers

Drivers 21 and older are welcome to rent with Marin Car Rental!The minimum age to rent or operate a Marin Car Rental vehicle is 21 years old.Drivers between 21 and 24 years of age may rent many of our available vehicle categories; however, certain premium, luxury, specialty, or high-performance vehicles may be subject to additional eligibility requirements or restrictions.All renters and Additional Drivers must meet Marin Car Rental's driver qualification requirements, present a valid driver's license, and be officially listed as an Authorized Driver on the Rental Agreement before operating the Vehicle.Vehicle eligibility may vary by vehicle category.

Driver's License

A valid driver's license issued by your state or country of residence must be presented at the time of rental and must remain valid throughout the entire Rental Period.International renters are welcome! If your driver's license is issued in a language other than English, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is recommended and should be presented together with your original driver's license.An International Driving Permit does not replace your driver's license. Your valid original driver's license issued by your state or country of residence must always be presented.All Primary and Additional Drivers must meet Marin Car Rental's driver qualification requirements and be officially listed on the Rental Agreement before operating the Vehicle.

Non-smoking Policy

Marin Car Rental is committed to providing every customer with a clean and well-maintained vehicle. For this reason, all Marin Car Rental vehicles are strictly non-smoking.Smoking or vaping of any substance inside the Vehicle is strictly prohibited. This applies to cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, electronic cigarettes, vapes, and any other smoking or vaping products.If evidence of smoking or vaping is found in the Vehicle, a minimum cleaning fee of $450 will be charged.Evidence may include, but is not limited to, smoke or marijuana odor, ashes, cigarette or cigar butts, burns, vaping residue, or other evidence indicating that smoking or vaping occurred inside the Vehicle.Additional cleaning, repair, restoration, or loss of use charges may apply if the actual costs resulting from smoking or vaping exceed the minimum cleaning fee.Thank you for helping us keep our vehicles clean, fresh, and enjoyable for every customer.

Roadside Assistance

Travel with extra peace of mind!Roadside Assistance is included as a mandatory component of every Marin Car Rental rental, helping provide support when unexpected situations occur during your trip.Roadside Assistance may provide assistance for situations such as vehicle breakdowns, flat tires, lockouts, lost or locked-in keys, and other roadside emergencies, subject to the terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions of the Rental Agreement and applicable coverage.If you experience a mechanical issue or roadside emergency, please contact Marin Car Rental as soon as possible for assistance and instructions. Repairs, towing, replacement of parts, or other services must not be authorized or performed without prior approval from Marin Car Rental, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety.Roadside Assistance does not eliminate the Renter's responsibility for damage, negligence, prohibited use, unauthorized use, or other charges for which the Renter is responsible under the Rental Agreement.

Safety Seats

Traveling with little ones? Marin Car Rental offers child safety seats and booster seats upon request and subject to availability, making it easier for families to travel comfortably and safely.Florida law requires children age 5 and under to be properly secured in an approved child restraint device, as applicable under Florida law.Child safety seats and booster seats are available as Optional Equipment and may be subject to an additional rental charge.For safety and liability reasons, the Renter is responsible for inspecting and properly installing the child safety seat or booster seat in the Vehicle in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and applicable law.We recommend requesting your child safety seat in advance to help ensure availability for your rental.

Question 7

Refuelling - Recharging Charges

To make your return quick and easy, please return the Vehicle with at least the same fuel level as when your rental began.If a gasoline-powered Vehicle is returned with less fuel than the level provided at the start of the rental, Marin Car Rental will refuel the Vehicle and the applicable fuel and refueling charges will be charged to the payment method authorized under the Rental Agreement.If a prepaid fuel option is offered and purchased, the applicable terms of that option will apply.For electric vehicles, the Vehicle should be returned with the required battery charge level communicated at the beginning of the rental. If the Vehicle is returned below the required charge level, applicable recharging charges may apply.Fuel and recharging levels are documented as part of the Vehicle's rental and return records.For the smoothest return experience, we recommend refueling or recharging shortly before returning the Vehicle.

Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions

Every rental with Marin Car Rental is governed by the Rental Agreement executed by the Renter. We encourage all customers to review the Agreement carefully before signing and taking possession of the Vehicle.The Rental Agreement contains the complete terms and conditions applicable to your rental, including authorized drivers, mandatory protection products, payment authorization, security deposits, tolls and violations, fuel, vehicle condition and damages, deductibles, GPS and vehicle monitoring, cleaning and smoking fees, prohibited uses, roadside assistance, extensions, cancellations, vehicle recovery, and post-rental charges.By signing the Rental Agreement, the Renter agrees to comply with its terms and authorizes Marin Car Rental to process charges permitted under the Agreement, including applicable charges identified or incurred after the Vehicle is returned.IMPORTANT – FLORIDA-ONLY TRAVELMarin Car Rental vehicles are authorized for use within the State of Florida only. Travel outside Florida without prior written authorization from Marin Car Rental is strictly prohibited. Unauthorized out-of-state travel may result in a $500 contractual violation fee, in addition to applicable towing, recovery, transportation, administrative, damage, or other charges permitted under the Rental Agreement.The Vehicle may be equipped with GPS and telematics systems, which may be used as described in the Rental Agreement, including for vehicle location, theft or vehicle recovery, tolls and violations, accident investigations, damage claims, chargeback disputes, collection activities, and enforcement of the Rental Agreement.If information displayed on this website, reservation communications, promotional materials, or other summaries differs from the executed Rental Agreement, the executed Rental Agreement will govern to the extent permitted by applicable law.ment in full before signing and taking possession of the Vehicle.
